So my pit bike (Yamaha CX80) has run into a bit of a problem with the rear a month ago and I think it's about time I try to get it fixed.

I was out on a joyride one day and about half a mile from home, my chain slipped off the sproket and got jammed between the sproket itself and the frame. I spent about 30 minutes trying to get the chain unstuck and finally got it off but I lost the little piece that holds the connecting link on the chain in place. A week later, I put a new chain on it and it runs but not very well.

Every time I accelerate too fast, it feels like my rear wheel clicks and shift sharply to the right and nearly fishtails on rock. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I'll be more than happy to give any more information you would like to know about the condition of the bike.

Yamaha CX80 ???? That is a key board....
Are you sure it's not a PW80?

Check that the swingarm pivot nut/bolt are tight.
