Anyone know if the 2019 fork lugs and spacers can be fitted to a 2016 YZ450?

TIA

Know- no. But I’d bet they do. Go with just the spacers though. My 2 cents

Was curious about which parts actually helped the turning.

I was just looking into the differences between the 2018 and 2019 YZ450 yesterday. You can but the lower fork legs, with the lugs already attached, the spacers and the axle for about $350.

I saw the parts on Babbits. The forks are the same size for the 16 no?
Im wondering if my front wheel will also work?
Seems like if thats the cure for the turn in issues itd be worth the time and money.

I would be in the camp to say no... Motor position, frame characteristics, linkage, etc all will play a part. Considering the overall cost and labour involved, might be easier to find some 22mm clamps, either from a aftermarket company or from the 2014/2015 model...

FYI the axle is the same for 2018 and 2019. Only need fork lowers, the rotor side front wheel spacer and the two rear wheel spacers. But as you said, the price isn't bad!

The 18 had the same lugs as the 16 and it turns much better. You could try the spacer first but I doubt the lugs would make your 16 handle like a 19

Thanks to all for the replies.
Ended up getting a set of 2019 lower fork tubes with lugs and spacers. I'll post a ride report once I get out to the track.
Has anyone else done this swap? If so what did you think?

I rode the wheels and spacers back to back with last years wheels and spacers. At my speed I cannot tell the difference. No lug change though

How was it? Was it worth the swap?

I'd make sure you suspension is valved and sprung by a reputable company, sag set properly and forks at the right height before throwing money and kinda bazaar parts.

I know a lowering link helps, as well as the engine relo and rediator lowering kits from DR.D help that bike.

Not sure what fork lugs and spacers will do to a completely different model bike.

ABSOLUTELY!
Best money I've spent on this bike next to having Dave at Smart Performance valve my forks. The bike literally turns intuitively. I'm super happy with it.

Definitely!
It really feels completely different.
The lugs and the Travis Preston map was a huge improvement.
