An hour into my ride tonight my bike died. It felt like it ran out of gas. Fuel pump is not priming so I'm assuming the pump is not working. I have not heard of any fuel pump issues on these bikes. Anyone know where to start or possible causes?

I just fixed a local bike that did the same thing. It turned out to be that the pet cock came apart internally and stopped the fuel flow.
On another one I found a dirty electrical connection to the fuel pump.
If your bike has an inline filter it too should be checked.
Most bike have a fuel pump relay and most have a fuse that can go bad.

It should be mounted next to the starter relay right by the battery.

Got it fixed. Tested the pump with direct power and it wouldn't run. Figured it was bad. Was right about to order a new one and figured I better pull the old one out first and bam!

Yes, I have seen that before too, but mostly on KTM's.
Great find.

I've seen the race teams saftey wire those connections on or heat shrink wrap them tight.

Yup, I shrink wrapped it good. No idea what happened to the original from the factory.
