Hey all, maybe a silly question but what the hell....

I'm building a '95 YZ250 (long rod motor smile ) One part I keep reading
about that was hyped back then was the De Vol shock linkage pull rods. Virtually
impossible to find these days but I was curious if maybe a later model
YZ pull rods would fit the '95 and achieve similar results? Yes, I realize
the '95 is a two-piece design and later models are one piece, but
that shouldn't seem to matter if it fits.

Or let's say a friend with a mill owed me a favor . . . . and was going to machine some new pull rods
for me. Anyone happen to know the length of the De Vol or Noleen units from back when? Or if you had to guess
as to which direction (longer or shorter) to make a new set, how would you proceed?

maybe contact Noleen and see if they can recall.

from what i found on the net they're still operating, i'm sure most places are pretty helpful towards restoration stuff and sharing advice.
