Serious question.. does anyone know if the 2000 yz250 frame is the same as the 2004??

I know there was a change in the waterpump - radiator hose change from 02 to 02

My understanding is there were flex/rigidity changes in the 04 frame, don't know if 02 to 03 were different from each other.

Some slight changes I believe. The later frame was lighter

2002 was the major upgrade/redesign year, although I'm not sure about the frames. It's likely that the bolt hole locations changed a little.
