So I bought my little brother a 2005 kx 65 for $350. The problem is the front and back genders are broke so I’m just gonna buy him a whole new plastic set. Well the klx 110 look way more updated and I’m wondering if I can put those plastics on a 65. I don’t mind doing a little modifications but if it’s way off I am not gonna mess with it.

They are identical 09 and below. If its 2010+ or a 110L they will not fit. Since you said looks more updated im assuming you mean new style 110L plastics. So No

Dang. Those plastics are so dang ugly haha but I guess they will have to do

Front fender and plate go on with little modifications. As far as the rest, you will need to swap the tank to take the new shrouds. Brackets for the rear side panels will have to be relocated and the rear fender battery box needs to be cut out. It will take minor mods but nothing to bad. A lot of planet mini guys have done this on the old body klx. There is also a thread on thumpertalk in which the new klx plastic were fitted to the 65.
