Do you go by the OEM recommendations for air filter, oil, and oil filter or if not what intervals do you use?

Just curious, I think Im going to be close to OEM recommendations, but may hold out a little longer for maintenance. I'm not racing and certainly not riding at a pro level.

I change the air filter after every single ride. I remove my seat and filter when I wash my bike.

I change oil every 3 hours using Maxima Pro Plus 20/50. I change oil filter every other oil change (6 hours total)

It’s cheap insurance to keep a clean air filter and clean oil. 👍🏻

Tell us what bike you have. Each bike is different as far as how accurate the manual is and there's lots of practical knowledge on this board pertaining to specific bikes.

I change air filter after every ride, I change oil every 5 hours. I have a yamaha and I feel like changing the air filter every ride is a MUST with how much dirt that intake sucks in. I ride a lot of sand and within 30 minutes the air filter is full of sand and dirt

I can usually get 2 rides out of the air filter unless it’s dusty. I just go by look. Change oil every 5hours and do oil filter every other oil change (10hrs). Valve adjustments or top ends are addressed usually when there’s hard start issues or power decrease. This is for an Austrian 350.
If we’re talking my kids 65 holy shit….there’s a book to write.

Same as above... Air Filter every ride or every other depending on riding conditions here (lot of nice dirt with minimal dust so its not hard on filter). Oil change with filter every 5 hours (I swap out oil filter with it since I'm doing it anyways). Always full clean bike, regrease wheel bearings every ~10-20 hours, regrease swingarm/steering stem/linkage every 40hr, keep chain clean from debris during riding/full wash after every ride etc. C level rider not hard on bike but has given me no issues doing this routine. Keep everything logged in excel sheet for tracking purposes.

First I think about keeping a maintenance schedule and what would work best.

Then I ignore those thoughts and only do the barest minimum to keep it technically functional as a motorcycle.

I have 3 air filters in rotation but I inspect my filters regularly. I don't see the point of changing a filter every ride. What real advantage is there in that especially in the spring when there is little to no dust? Or decently maintained track with good dust abatement? My oil change interval is ten hours but I probably haven't gone over 7. More likely 5 because I don't mind tinkering with my bike. I do a filter every change but I think that is the recommendation from KTM/Husky.

Manual calls for 7.5 hours on oil. I change it every ride (1-3 hours tops). Oil filter every other change.
Air filter with filter skin everytime.
