What is the best way to fix this?

Does it need cut off and a new piece made and welded on? Can I fill it with weld and grind it smooth? Would using a brazing rod instead of weld be a bad idea? Is it fine as is? It’s not wore through yet. How would you guys fix it?

Aluminum, bring to aluminum welder. Then replace chain buffer before it happens again.

as long as it is not in the bore...a welder can fill it up ...watching the heat...file down ...sand...and your good

If you have it welded be sure the welder understands that the bore is a bearing press and cannot change size. If the bearing has to much when the welding is done it will prematurely wear or not rotate smoothly.

Have the welder preheat the swingarm to 300 degrees F and fill the slots. easy repair.
