I am getting my springs changed and there seems to be some confusion between my mechanic and local Honda dealer and Factory Connection. I need to know what Honda oil is used stock. SS-19 seems to be the popular guess but the dealer thinks that maybe SS-47 was used. All agree 5W is used. Thanks for the help.

I don't know the answer to your question. I do know that the Honda dealer is not always the most qualified to tell you anything mechanical. I would trust was FC says.

I guess the confusion started when the dealer ordered ss-19 and received ss-47. He thought maybe it was replaced with that. Pretty sure SS-19 is what is in there. I am just trying to save a bit by not changing the inner chamber oil because the suspension only has a few hours on it.

Save a dime for thousands spent on your bike... What? Yup, doesn't add up bro. If you can not handle it, get a cat and a quad. Last part is just a little tip I read from Vital...

Haha! What kind of cat do you recommend?
