I have a 2013 crf450r back in 2014 when I got it the chain came off and slapped the bottom of the clutch linkage/pushrod, it has a tiny hole and I have used JB weld since then without any leaks or issues. However now that it’s time to sell it is scaring away potential buyers, what have you guys done as far as welding goes? I tried the aluminium brazing rods you get at a hardware store with no luck and have now heard they cases are magnesium and you can’t weld them. Any truth to this? Any ideas?

The best thing to do is replace that case. A very good welder can do it, but the case will have to be removed from the engine and then case distortion may still show up.

If the hole is less than 1/4” then just have it welded and sand it down. Anything more youd have to pull the cases and might as well replace at that point
