WP Forks Play

Hello,

yesterday i got my new KTM SXF 250 2020 Prado version.

While assembling the bike, with the front wheel removed i noticed that there is some front and side play in the right fork, also in the left but not so much. The play is coming from the inner tube.

Is this normal thing or maybe something is wrong with the forks?

Shouldn't be normal. Perhaps a bushing was installed incorrectly or missing?

I've noticed this before with my showa cr250 forks, ended up replacing the outer tubes because you could see some wear inside (silver patch instead of gold fork colour) changed inner and outer bushes with oem, still a little play there but better than before, I just don't think about it now and just put it down to being normal, but if one leg has more excessive play than the other on a brand new bike I'm not sure I'd be to happy, they should at least have the same amount of play lol

yea its pretty sad they come like this on a brand new bike, ive asked my suspension guy if it is safe to ride like this and he said to give them a try, if they dont handle well i guess i will have to bring them for service
