WP - Cone Valve Forks and Trax Shock

6/16/2018 11:52am
A buddy of mine is selling his WP cone valve forks and trax shock for a very competitive price. They are the 48mm off road forks.

They came off of his KX450. My question is, will they work on my 2019 KTM 300XC or are they just too different to bolt on? I could not find a PN cross reference for the different types of bikes just a generic listing via WP.

Thank you,

Edit*- Sorry long day...

I don’t think the KX stuff will fit KTM.

Yeah, I don't think they will, unfortunately. I found some PN's on WP's website. I was hoping I could at least finagle the forks on. $2500 is darned cheap for both the cone valve forks and trax shock!

If you can find a used set of KX triples, all you need is a custom steering stem and they should bolt on to your bike.
Most machine shops could make you custom steering stem for $100-$200.

There are other tricks too, depending on how close the forks are to your forks.

You can make it work it you're willing to get creative.
