Vortex ECU Honda compatibility?

Minus the actual programming of a year and model specific base map, does anyone know if a 2010-2014 style crf250 vortex will plug into the 17-18 crf450 and 2018 crf250? There's some good deals on the ECU units themselves out there for those years and would be much cheaper to grab the actual ECU cheap and spend a little money on a new base map than to buy a whole new unit for the specific bike. Thanks in advance.

I saw one for sale on Facebook for $600 it was off an 18 250r. Chase Stevenson was selling it I think.

Could you get someone like Tokyo Mods to map or re-map the Vortex ECU to specifically to your bike? Not really sure how they work or are they locked? I wouldn't think they are locked since you can buy an additional programmer software to map them but it would be nice to do it with a dyno.

Yes you absolutely can with the base map specific for your bike. For instance, a 2016 crf450 vortex ECU will fit on a 2014 crf250 as long as you upload the base map for the 250

I asked Tokyo Mods this exact question. They said no it wont fit. The plug is completely different on the 17-18' CRF's.
