As a vet rider I hated my 350. I tried to love it I really did, but just couldn't. No excitement at all below 8k and takes forever to make good ripping power above that. Yes you can use the midrange but it just feels lethargic to me. What vet wants to ride at 13k rpm to have fun all the time? Two strokes are where the fun is. Excitement right now. No waiting until 13k for it. But that's just me. Guess I'm a 2 stroke guy. 250 2stroke for me.

I’m also a 2 stroke guy, but i hurt myself when i crash on this fast bike. Before I have a slow 16 350 but my laptimes was almost the same in 20 mins race.

Maybe try and ride someone's 150 two stroke if your 300 is to fast. How did you feel about your 350? Did you really like it?

The 350 was easy to ride and light but maybe I Will like more lowend from a 450

From this vets perspective.

For results: 350
For fun: Take your pick - I’d buy a 125 if I was riding/Racing MX more often.

I’m riding (Too occasionally) my well set up, low hr 2008 Yamaha YZ250F, and can not justify a new bike unless I can change my habits. This would be helped by access to MX tracks.

The best local track had a “practice” day recently. 283 riders signed on. It was run like a race day. Each “class” got 4x10 mins on the track. No more scheduled this year. (Stupid rules limit that track to 12 “events” a year.)

PS
I’ve had some good test rides on late model Husky/KTM 350s and 125 2 strokes. I love them both.
