Like the title said.

Im trying to get the linkage bearings out of my 98 yz250.

I hit them with wd40. Ive tried the sockets and benchtop vice method. Ive tried hammering them out. Im pretty sure these are the original bearings and theyre not moving...

Any tips??

If heating the linkage doesn't work you could use a dremel and very carefully grind through the bearing case. Once you've gone through one spot you can use a screw driver to jimmy it out

Try the vice and sockets again. This time use a map gas torch. Use a big wrench(32mm) as a cheater bar on your vice handle. Apply as much pressure as you can. Hold that torch on there. You will hear it pop every so often when it heats up. Its a slow process but keep at it.

If that still doesnt work, youll need a 10 ton press from harbor freight. That will get them out.

Heat and either a big vice or press to squeeze out using sockets(or something brass or alum preffered against the link).

Heat. Get the aluminum nice and hot and you'll be able to beat them out.

I ended up taking mine to a machine shop. Took them about 5 secs with a press and $10.00.

Clean it up from grease and stuff, bake it in Owen for 10-15min on a high temp. Take it out and press them out.

Don’t YZ’s of certain eras have a shoulder in the middle, meaning you can’t force both bearings out the same side?
