The new tech fabrics or old mesh gear for heat?

I haven't tried any of the newer lightweight gear sets on the market I'm wondering if they work better in the heat than the old standby ventilated mesh gear?

Comparing my thor gear to some old no fear mesh jerseys, the mesh is amaze balls for staying cool. My thor gear is from 2016 so idk if its what youre thinking of as far as the fabric.

I'm kind of thinking of it as the modern moisture wicking materials vs classic mesh for airflow.

they need to be made from what ever material cycling jerseys are made from. That stuff wicks sweat to the surface and helps keep you cool. Its a noticeable thing when I stop I can feel the Florida heat sink in and when I start moving again its like someone turned on the A/C

Bump, I. Noticed the older fox 360 airline gear with the mesh is discontinued and replaced with newer versions with a few token laser drilled cooling holes which look like they would do squat for airflow, but perhaps the fabric itself works better than the older mesh stuff in the heat and humidity? Any opinions?

Maybe the Seven compression gear? Made out of spandex and nylon or whatever stretcht material. I would imagine those do a good job at wicking away sweat. I don’t know any other brands that have gear like that though.
