Borderline Junior/Intermediate rider up in Canada. Last time I owned a bike I was 17 and weighed 150-60 pounds.

I’m now 6’1 weighing 180lbs. Riding a stock 2012 YZ250. I feel like I’m a little outside of the target size for these stock setups. Anyone here think it’s worth/not worth the money? Thanks in advance.

You probably don't need a revalve on the front or rear. Just make sure the springs are correct for your weight, keep the fluids fresh and internals maintained by a reputable suspension company.

Suspension is the most value added adjustment you can make to a bike, IMO

If nothing else, at least get the proper spring rates for your weight and riding ability, set the sag, etc. I use Race Tech's website personally for reference on this.

Of course, paying a reputable suspension service provider to do this all for you is always a great option.

I'd talk to a suspension company or 3 that you trust. I weigh 150 and when I had a yz250 I used stock spring rates. I had it revalved by Factory Connection and they confirmed the spring rates were correct for me, I'd think your bike is set up on the soft side.

You need springs those bikes are under sprung for 180lb riders. If you're in Canada ring up ride concepts. My bud can let you know whats needed.

talk to your local suspension shop at minimum service the suspension and springs, tons of guys look over servicing their suspension its just as important as a engine oil change in my opinion

IMO you can get away with leaving it stock. I'm 5'11 187lbs and ran stock suspension other than a 5.4 rear spring for 2 years. I debated heavier fork springs but the tuners I talked to said to leave them stock. I just bought a yz450 and realise I should have gone up on fork springs. I would go .46 fork springs as stock are .44. If .46 is too stiff then put one of the stock springs in and essentially make them a .45
