Stock Hubs, Pro Wheel Rims, and Tusk Spokes?

Im getting some new rims.. and figured that tusk spokes were cheaper and had some good feedback, so I was wondering if I can lace up some pro wheel rims, tusk spokes and stock hubs on a 2011 YZ125? Thanks.

Not sure about Tusk spokes, but I’ve laced up some Pro Wheel rims, Buchanan spokes (larger diameter than OEM), and stock hubs and they’ve been great. There were maybe 3-4 holes in the stock hub I had to reem slightly to get the spoke in, but they’ve been great. Don’t think Pro Wheel sales Buchanan spokes anymore :/ gonna buy another set of their rims and whatever spokes they sell to lace up for my 450 soon.

I would not use Tusk spokes. If you break a spoke or nipple you cannot buy them in singles, you have to buy an entire spoke kit for a complete wheel. My son broke one spoke on his Tusk rear wheel and Rocky would not sell me a single. Friggin irritating.

I've had bad luck with Pro Wheels rims. Cracked them and ended up replacing with better rims. The few bucks saved was not worth the hassle. Also, their black rims faded massively into a bronze color.

I’ve also had a pro wheel rim crack at the seam I’d steer clear.

My go to lately has been Tusk rims and Excell spokes. A bit heavier than stock but super strong. I like the spokes because the wrench will never slip and round a nipple, not that they ever needed tightening after they take a seat.
