Stiffer spring or stiffer valving?

I’m starting to pick up my pace and I could use a tad more hold up when entering breaking bumps, do you guys think it’s wiser to go with a heavier spring or stiffen up the valving? Which way would have what feel? 21 gasgas ex250f setup for mx 40b Kyb a kit forks in wp uppers woth wp dlc lowers. I’m leaning towards trying stiffer spring and see if that does the trick. It seems like no matter what I’m at 5 out from full hard on my forks compression to get it feeling the way I like it, too soft it gets harsh, stiffer doesn’t make too too much of a difference.

What is your weight?
You could/should experiment with oil levels first, as well, before dropping cash on springs.

I dropped oil level from 320 to 300, went down in 5ml increments and found 300 to be the sweet spot overall because the pro circuit national spring tubes wouldn’t bottom and became quite harsh and twitchy so to speak instead of bottoming

I can’t remember the rates in there off the top of my head but I know we used two different spring rates initially. 150 lbs plus gear

Kinda hard to say if you don’t know your spring rates.

Springs are more about your weight than your speed. (More, but not all.)
If your springs are too soft, you won't be able to fix it with any amount of clicker adjustments.

Answer this: if you were to brake hard on smooth ground, does the front dive too much? (And stay dived until you are finished braking?) If so, that's likely springs. If not, and you are bottoming in the braking bumps, that's more likely the valving and/or clickers.

Had a 44 and 46.. Installed .465.. spring rate now in both forks is .46 I guess it was .45 avg between the two prior, we shall see if this does the trick if not a little re-valve is in order.
