Sleeving a 2 stroke cylinder?

I've never had one done, is it something any competent machine shop can do? What do you pay to have it done?

I guess I should have searched a little, it's not that bad, I think I'll be sending it to Millennium.

Dont sleeve a cylinder. Have it replated at millennium.

They do offer sleeves that can be plated. It would be well worth it for engine life.

ok heres my story and im sticking to it, i had a kx125 sleeved back in the day the thing would run good sometimes and other times it wouldnt i was constantly chasing jetting and never got it really good, a buzzard told me that a cylinder that comes threw plated dissapates heat threw the thin plating rite to the water jacket and cools more eficently , and the sleeve may hold heat and cause the problem i was having , well i had run it quite a bit so i had it bored and still had the same issue, bought a new cylinder and fixed all my headaces, moral of the story is dont sleeve a cylinder that came plated , have it replated

I would also strongly advise against getting a sleeve. I haven't sleeved a cyl. since the 80's on an 84 RM125. We didn't know any better at the time. As mentioned above by Pete It will be an issue on how the sleeve will expand / extract with heat is different to the plating on the original casting.
