Shock spring rubbing

Buddy sent to pro action to get suspension done. This is what is looks like after 1 ride. 2018 yz450. Anybody know what’s up. Spring on wrong way?

Idk what's wrong but I'd be pissed that's pretty chewed up after one ride and alot of wear on the shock body ,has he contacted pro action there normally pretty good from what I've seen

To me it looks as if the spring height adjustment is set to high causing the spring to bend under compression and rub the body . Was the sag set on the bike before this ride?

If the photo is not distorting things...It looks like the very top end of the spring in not machined flat so that the spring set flush with the adjuster. If so, it would put side pressure on the spring and thus rum the shock body.

Is it just me or does the spring look like it gets smaller as it gets closer to the top??

I used Pro Action once, been using Factory Connection now for close to 20 years.

Even had them do a cylinder once. They sent me back someone's else's cylinder. I put it on anyways and it had a hell of a leak on the base. They said it must've been like that when I sent it in. Got every excuse in the book why it was my fault.

Clearly it's the wrong spring. Should be longer, as yz450f springs are same from prior year 270mm (guess, @ bar) I would call them, and get them to replace the shock body, and spring with correct one. It's a new bike!
