Setting crank bearing 2006 CRF450R

First time changing a main bearing. Just wanted to see if those who have done this, or know, can tell me if it's set all the way in. I can't remember how deep the one I took out was, and can't seem to find anything in my repair manual on it. The thing that got me wondering is there is a small gap on the back side of the bearing that I wasn't sure if it was supposed to mate with the crank case or not. Check out these pictures and let me know what you think. It's dead even, and I can't comfortably get it in more.

your bearing isnt seated all the way and is not straight in the hole. In your pic looking at the backside of the bearing, you can see its not all the way in and theres more of a gap at the bottom of the pic than at the top. See green arrows. When youre tapping in that bearing, youll hear a really obvious change in sound when it bottoms out. It will be a very solid sound.

So it was set all the way, BUT it was also backwards. Glad I checked, pulled it out, turned it over and lined up great

I always put the cases in an oven and heat them up to around to around 180-190 degrease F and freeze the bearings, the bearings will drop in usually without even having to tap them in with a hammer. It eliminates the risk of the bearing catching and possibly galling the case if ur not careful.
