Road rashed FMF Factory Fatty

Finally got some snow in NC and thought I'd take a ride on my ktm250sx. Long story short I slid out and road rashed my FMF factory Fatty expansion chamber. And idea of what I can do restore the look of this pipe, the metal has ground down a little bit.

Nope, you cut the plating. You could file and sand bit will likely rust there.

Captmoto, it's a raw unplated pipe.

Matthew, check out the "plastic rejuvenation" thread.. I bet you could make it look like new using that technique. I've sanded out some pretty deep rust pitting similar to your gouges.

Also, I use WD instead of soap.

Saw the glare, sorry, you can sand it out, start coarse and go finer til you get the finish you want. Use emery cloth not regular sandpaper.
