Does anyone know what Yamaha coats hardware with? I'm going to tumble a bunch of old Yamaha hardware and it will need to be recoated or replated.

I checked into replating hardware on a build and in the end, just went with the nickel works bolts from Spec Bolt.
Already plated, flanged, dished head, ready to go. More cost and time effective. https://specbolt.com/nickel-wurks-kits/

If you are trying to go OEM, I *think* it is zinc followed by a chromate.

Id go with this as well. I think the older stuff had a blackish coating on them. Dont know what it is tho.

How old? The greens stuff is green parkerizing I think. It was common on old military weapons. Check them out on google images.

Matt Weller restores old mx bikes and posts on IG. I'd check with him.
