So i have this stain on my clutch cover. I’m not exactly sure what it is but i can’t seem to get it off. Looks like over spray of some sort. So far I’ve tried: MR clean, simple green, carb cleaner, brake cleaner, and rubbing compound. Nothing has touched it yet. Any other ideas?

Whatever it was probably messed up the finish on it. If those didnt work to clean it idk how youd get it off. Abrasives or paint thinner will f up the finish even more.

Yeah you definitely got something that was acid based on it and it attacked the akadizing on that cover.

When my 2013 YZ450F was brand new I had probably 3 grand worth of aftermarket stuff on it, Hammerhead, Yoshimura GYT-R, Ride Engineering, Works connection... Went for a ride at the in laws farm and decided to wash it while I was there, he had this car wash that I thought was the same as I usually use, sprayed it on left it be for 5 minutes and pressure washed it off along with all the colour from every single anodised and painted part on the bike, it even etched the bare aluminium frame dark grey. I wish I had photos to show you, looked exactly as your clutch cover does.

WD-40, 5-56 or similar may at least temporarily make it look better.
