The local shell down the street sells “100 octane race fuel”
I am having a little detonation going on in my 125 and was wondering if this is worth the 8 bucks a gallon, could I mix this with 93 or would that not improve the fuel!
Also was reading that the maxima castor 927 separates in 100 octane is this true
If so what else do y’all recommend
It is cheeper then vp so just wondering
Thanks for any input

That gas should work just fine. Best thing is to try it and see. Mix 50/50 and see if it helps. If not run strsight 100.

As far as the oil, you should be shaking your gas anyway to keep it mixed. I wouldnt worry about seperation

Castor 927 can separate if it gets too cold. I have had it happen to me and it states that it can in the literature.

If you mix the 100-octane race gas 50:50 with ethanol based pump fuel, you should not have any 2-stroke oil separation.
If you live near an airport, you can get 100-octane Avgas for hopefully much cheaper. Avgas near me is $3.80/gallon.

When ethanol separates the oil stays with the gas. Since the ethanol is heavier it sinks to the bottom of the tank and you wind up running on pure ethanol with no oil. It's not likely to separate as long as there is no water in the gas.
