Has anybody used them for a WP re-valve?

Today was the day that I finally had enough with my stock 2021 Xact fork, the braking and acceleration chop was just beating the shit out of me, and I tried every setting for the fork I know .

Not only that, but the fork won't settle in corners and it wants to wash out, even set at 7.5 MM down in the clamp.

I have Kreft stuff on my 350 and its a big improvement over stock, but those guys are in Oregon and I have to ship the stuff off if I need valving changes, I wanted to try REP because they are local to me in Temecula.

Swap one 0.15 shim to 0.10 on trampoline and one 0.15 from the mid to a 0.10 and it fixes all that. It just softens the damping and gives it a bit more midvalve float..... that worked for me at least. Also, I had to increase shock damping to make the fork work better. But I am fat and slow lol

But REP are wp specialists and will be able to tune that fork really well.

When you call them, please ask them for a WP part number on the plastic oil baffle ring that goes around the damping cartridge seal head.... they are very fragile and not sold separately on KTM parts fiche

The new midvakve is such a nice design and loads of tuning options. I cam look up the stacks, from memory it was just those subtle changes, maybe another 0.15 to a 0.10mm

On the older one, I went over to the check plate off the 2 stroke..... when you think about it, a check plate isn't that far away in concept over a cone valve

I don't really want to go to a Cone Valve spring fork because I really like to be able to adjust the "spring" with my air pump.

Kreft added a mid valve to my 2018 AER 350 fork and it works a lot better then the stock 2021 Xact fork, but what I really want is the feel of a stock Yamaha KYB SSS system, without the spring.

Iim going down there tomorrow to see what REP can do for me.

My buddy had his 2019.5 FE done by REP. It was pretty good but I would say it was on the firm side. It had too much hold up (wouldn't settle) and was not quite supple enough on chop. He ended up running less air pressure and less compression than REP recommended to get it to move more. He told me that he asked REP for "vet intermediate" but for all I know he exaggerated his skill level and said he was a Vet-A rider... LOL!!!! Take it for what it's worth.

You’re not going to get that spring feel. The 21 is better and like many say it’s very easy to tune and improve with just a simple shim shuffle. My main issue was missing the spring feel coming from KYB and issues since new with the air side leaking into the outer chamber. For the price of a revalve and service it was worth it to me to spend a little extra and get a set of MX Tech Luckies.

Also thought I would add that the Lucky install on the 21 fork is super simple. You don’t have to remove the fork lugs anymore. Literally just pull the old carts out, set your preload spacers on the spring and bleed. I did mine with a buddy one afternoon. I got mine from Corey at Protune who set the Valving and huck valve up for what I specifically ride. If you get from MX Tech you get their standard settings normally. So if you are looking for that CV feel, many people compare the Luckies to them.

Aren't they like $1200 installed, how much are they if you do your own install and get them for Protune?

I paid $981 plus $62 shipping to Canada. The Carbons are $1200 I think.
They are a breeze to install on the 21 forks. Calculating preload and bleeding them is the only thing that takes time. Took me and a buddy 2 hours starting with stock forks still on bike.
I think Corey charges $100 to install.

I feel like a broken record, but Enzo has great settings. Spring forks still have better corner feel IMO, but I was very happy with my revalved AER on my '19 FC350. With revalved WP CC they are even better.

Waiting for the adapter for '21 to be released. These have worked well for those who don't want air. Can then tune fork with many options, including cone valve adapted kit.

Thats the kit I choose to use. Its factory wp. There is also the k tech version which a lot of people use as well.
I prefer the wp unit, it costs more, maybe 100.00 or so. But, I like the quality of it. There's several spring rate options offered as well.

I actually have the k-tech kit I was more so interested In the cone valve adapted kit?

There is a kit to bolt into valving side. Pressure spring/cone kit. You should be able to source from factory services dealer or tuner.
