Hey all, I asked this on another thread but it might be buried. So, I have a 2017 tc250, switching back to the Mikuni to try out AJ’s setup etc. and was wondering what the quickest/easiest way is to get the bowl off to swap jets. I seem to remember not quite being able to just turn the carb sideways in the boot and do the job but its been a while. So what do you guys do? ie: lower subframe bolts/swing etc.

Is the Husky that much different in that area then the KTM? I just loosen the 2 clamps and rotate it so I can take the bowl off.

Also if you ever come down to the Austin area to ride let me know an you can ride my bike to compare.

If you turn the handlebar, you can get more slack out of throttle cable & then spin carb within the boots all the way to access the bowl, I can swap a main & adjust needle clip in 5 minutes...make sure you pull the slack back out of the throttle cable when done.

Nice! Thanks guys for the responses. I honestly couldn’t remember between jetting the 250 and my son’s bikes. Been running a Lectron for the last couple of years, looking forward to testing and comparing.
p.s. AJ - thanks for that gracious offer, would be great to hang out and moto sometime 👍

I have a 17 TC250 too. I have trouble getting mine turned around very far to get at bowl nut. This helps with bowl nut! Less cumbersome than a big 17mm wrench. Also,I swapped the odd screws on float bowl of either my 17 TC250 or was it the 18 TC125, for common size. I've posted pictures on here of my TC125 mikuni carb with a adjustable power jet that has a range of 3-4 main jets,,adjusted by a knob.
