It`s a problem whit identifying Yamahas in Europe, Since they dont use 10th digit identification.
Do you have a picture , and if the stock decals on it that
helps too

This is the closest pic i can find to yours 1988 -(86-89 looks allmost the same ). 1990 they got red rims by the looks of it.
