Got Ti6 on my kx450, the exhaust has about 12hrs on it and the header keeps blowing off the manifold.

There isn't any springs on the new pc header... any ideas on how I can keep it in place?

Cheers

If memory serves, all my PC exhausts for my KX’s (my last was a ‘13) had a ring around the engine end of the header that captured it in side the manifold. I’m wondering if yours is missing?

The ti5 on my 09 kx450 has springs. Idk how the hell PC expected it to stay on without them. All i have to do on mine is remove the springs and it will pop right off. The flange isnt attached whatsoever.

On the PC ti header I had the flange was attached to the pipe with what seemed to be a press or crimp fit. It had no springs. Yours must have separated somehow.

Call Pro Circuit before going any further. Lets see what they say. One thing about pro circuit that you can always count on is excellent product. They make good/ solid shit so call them and let us know what they say. That aint right and if it falls off on the track you might lose the damn thing. Report back after talking to PC!

I had the same thing happen recently it broke off the flange, they replaced the header but you have to ship the entire exhaust to them for inspection. No complaints just takes time.

Thanks for everyone's advice, it comes with the grab ring that splits into two.. but it doesn't grab the header when its tightened.

I'l do what DB97 said that ship it to them, I'm in Australia so the shipping will probably be as much as what the pipe is worth haha
