found a killer deal for a set of Ohlins forks for my ktm, and before i pull the trigger i want to make sure its a step in the right direction... i love the aer48 on a smooth track and hard landings but hate it everywhere else lol.... for the price of the ohlins i will be able to sell them and not loose any money if for some reason they dont work out, and still cheaper then doing the kyb swap on my current forks

Go for it. That seems to be a really good deal, but remember to get them sprung and valved to your weight and ability!

You explained the aers perfectly in comparison to Ohlins. Aers provide great bottoming resistance and feel great on a smooth track, but when the track gets rough that’s where my Ohlins shine and outperform.
I think the AERs are excellent oem forks, but they are a bit harsh compared to Ohlins.

What settings are you currently using on your forks? Picked them up tonight. Can’t wait to try them out!! Also what would be a good deal on them? I believe I did well on them but unsure as I don’t see them for sell that offen.

You got the black tubes. Good deal would be around $1500, IMHO. Enjoy!

went and rode at a local track yesterday to try out the ohlins.... first impression was cornering was greatly improved and made the bike feel much more confident in cornering.. also really showed me how much my rear setup is out of wack... overall it was a awesome upgrade that i wish i would have done years ago on my other ktms
