Nissin Front Master Cylinder on KTM

Anyone done this? Just bought a 2021 Husky TX300i and the front brakes suck. I can 3 finger squeeze them to the bars and barely lock the wheel on pavement. Bleeding is not the issue. my 2017 TX300 was not any better after fresh fluid and bleeding.

Not looking for advice on how to improve the Brembo MC. Just seeing if anyone has swapped to a Nissin.

nothing beats the feel of 07+ crf master,

I run a 12 crf master ss line and 06 yz caliper it has stiffer lever feel and better and action than stock ktm brembos.

I’ve done it on a Yamaha. It’s the hot set up. I have a 21 TX, no issue. I wouldn’t think of switching to a Nissin. It’s a softer feel than the Brembos but the braking is just as good, more progressive. Does not lock up as easy. Your TX has a Magura master and caliper, not Brembo. Throw a Brembo on or better yet complain to your dealer. There is a fix for that soft lever. That design is prone to air bubbles getting hung up at the banjo bolt. Some guys drill them.

Yeah there’s an issue and it isn’t the type of caliper. Those brakes give up nothing to any Japanese model if it’s working up to snuff.

I had that issue after bleeding, reverse bleeding, vacuum bleeding. I fell over on some rocks and the brake feel has been perfect ever since.

It made me think air was hung up in the caliper somewhere or possibly in a banjo

If I was OP I would try bleeding the banjo at the master cylinder.

Try new pads like Galfer sinter. Your pads might be contaminated, or rotor needs to be cleaned.

They should be more powerful than that.
