I bent a footpeg this weekend on my YZ so I am looking for good options that meet the following criteria
1. Wide
2. Reasonably Priced
3. Durable

I like the idea of the Ankle Savers but every set I see at the races are all worn out and look like trash. What are yall running?

The stock footpegs on the newer YZ's and YZF's are an excellent, cheap option for your YZ's. The stock pegs on the 05-06 YZ's are cast titanium and are skinny and bend or crack easily. The newer pegs are cast stainless and are much wider. I have them on both my 2006 YZ's. Depending on which ones you get, you can also keep stock height (250F pegs) or lower your height 5mm (450F pegs). There is a thread in the YZ 2-stroke section on Thumpertalk that lays out all the differences.

Yeah the stock 4 stroke option is good, you can pick them up off eBay cheap.
Don't worry about weight, your talking ounces at the lowest part of the bike.

Thanks guys, I had a set of the wide YZF pegs on it. The felt fantastic but were starting to wear down after two seasons of riding, and then of course I just bent the one.

I think im going to spend the money and get a set of the XC Gear Spurz as I ride 100% offroad. I know the price is more than Ti pegs but ive read they are fantastic pegs and reduce vibration.

I've had a really good run out of my fastway pegs, you can replace the studs and you can raise or lower them, also have a grub screw to camber the peg if you fancy that

I just looked them up after reading this post and would love to hear how they feel, olease update with a ride report! Also, they have some bar mounts that seem pretty awesome for reducing vibration as well

Check out the works connection pegs.

Other than that, id run the Yamaha stock ones. Best pegs for the price IMO

Yeah I think I’ve made up my mind in these pegs so I’ll update once I get them. I would also order the handlebar mount but I’m going to spread the purchases out to keep the ol lady happy

I have Lightspeed steel pegs on my YZ and IMS Bigfoot steel pegs on my KXF. Both are 57mm wide and have been holding up well. The IMS are a little sharper. Unfortunately I don’t think the Lightspeed pegs are available anymore other than the Ti version.
