Need help with a VIN

I'm thinking about buying a CRF150 but I cannot seem to get any info when I run the numbers. Anyone have any ideas? I already tried a Honda dealership and AAA.

The first 2 digits should be JH.. so JH2KE02006R003647.

J= country of origin (Japan)
H=manufacturer (Honda)

Not sure why the first 2 digits are off like that.

Looks odd to me how it has the gap in the middle. To get a red sticker in California , the 8th digit needs to be a 3 or C. Looks fishy. Is it being sold real cheap ? Good thing you checked it out. Just Google dirt bike vin number identification to satisfy yourself , then continue your search.

Makes it even more confusing. Not sure what to think at this point.

Is it a crf150 “F” or is it an “R”?
The early 150F’s I think were manufactured in India.

Disregard my comment about the 8th digit , didn’t look close enough to see it is an F and not an R model.

Second digit should be a C... ( not a zero!!) Comes up 2006 year honda CRF150

Thanks for all your guys help. I hit up my local Honda dealership. They said it looked odd. They couldn't pull up the VIN. I passed on the bike.
