Hi guys, I'm installing my new FMF and wanted to know if I must replace the copper exhaust gasket?
Can't even take it out, it's stuck.

It’s a good idea, it’s a crush gasket designed for one time use... sometimes when they’re stuck you can get the out with a pick or very carefully with a screwdriver and a small hammer

Thanks!
Do I need to put some grease on the copper gasket? (Permatex Aluminum Anti-Seize?).
I know I should put some on the engine/exhaust port bolts.

You don't need anything with copper gaskets, just throw them on and torque to spec. But yes, replace it, you don't want an exhaust leak.

yes replace the gasket. I usually put a thin coat of anti seize between the header, mid pipe, and muffler connections. But not by the copper gasket.

I thought that's where I need to put copper silicone.
Can you show me by photos where to put the anti seize and where the copper silicone?

You can use either. I think copper silicone is the best option of the two. You just smear a thin coat about 1/2” down the pipe where the pipes meet so they dont get stuck together.

If you don't replace that gasket , you will have a decal pop due to a lean condition created by that gasket leaking.

Thanks guys.

And the aluminum anti-seize grease will go where the bolts get hot, right?

There's no room for the oem rubber mount that goes into the muffler mounting bolt. How do I install it properly?
Just use the oem bolt? (I don't have any washers, etc..) Seems kind of weird.

By the way do I need to put any high temp silicone where the pipe connects to the engine? Couldn't find any info about that part.
The manual just says to put a new copper gasket and that's it.

The manual is correct. Copper sealant is between the joints in the pipe only. Not at the head. Thats what the crush washer is for

Great!
What about the muffler mounting bolt? It doesn't have rubber / washers. I hope it won't vibrate and damage my frame like the KX450.

Should be fine. The Ti5 pipe on my kx450 is completely hard mounted and theres no issues. Put the pipe on and ride man. Dont worry so much.

I had in my mind the image of how I wanted the colors to spread, once I was done polishing I went to the heating stage and just tried to heat each part evenly until it was light gold and kept heating in the parts I wanted purple and blue. Need to be careful with the heat, I felt like I was paint brushing with heat and that's about it (heating from different distance so it won't leave spots and look like a dalmatian pipe.
After purple it can get to blue real fast and even turn bright blue and you can't change it back, happened to me once but I managed to make it blend in. This is my first time doing something like this.
(I'm a professional graphic designer so I guess it helps with the touch lol).

By the way, the head pipe that goes into the engine went all bright blue after 2-3 rides. Kind of a bummer but I knew it will happen from the heat.
