What is your experience with different lubes for axles, pivot bolts, etc? I have what’s recommended in my Honda manual. Just curious if anyone has a recommended lube that may have performance benefits or other characteristics that would make it better than oem recommendations?

I’m getting ready to tear down my bike for the winter and want to go through and do a deep clean and service everything. Bikes a 2020 crf250r..

I’ve been using Maxima or ParkTool waterproof grease. Both work well.

Don’t forget loctite for certain nuts and bolts on the rebuild.

After 25+ years of greasing linkages/mx chassis I recommend the Motorex 2000 long life grease. It's only marginally more expensive but it lasts considerably longer than the Maxima, BelRay, Silkolene and others I've tried. I have found the grease resists water much better than those I listed but more importantly, the lubricity is far superior. I will never go back. I strongly recommend it.

I prefer to use Fluid Film on axles and linkage bolts instead of grease.
