Trying to loosen the screws holding in some of the bearings within my 88 RM250 cases but am having no luck. I tried heat along with the torque type screwdriver that you tap with a hammer but they refuse to loosen.

Anyone have any tips on how to get these damn things out?

Use more/stronger heat as they have almost certainly been fitted with the stronger loctitie which requires heat to turn back to liquid again and allow you to undo. Also, check the manual to make sure they are not reverse threads - mainly in the case of the primary gear nut.

Biggest tip is to make sure the screwdriver is a perfect fit for whatever you are trying to undo and to apply a lot of downwards force while turning. Be patient.

I believe it takes 400 degrees to break the tough thread lock which I think is green. So if green loctite was used it will require u heat it to 400 degree to break it free

Use a manual impact screwdriver and heat.

I got them finally! The first one came free with lots of heat and an impact screwdriver, the other had to be heated and drilled out using left hand drill bits. Luckily that one broke free before I got down into the threads! Thanks guys!
