I've been liking the idea of adding Lightspeed carbon fiber front rotor covers to my late model YZFs.

What are your experiences with the durability of Lightspeed's parts in general + for this application?

Any feedback is appreciated!

I've never run a disc guard from them, but I have run fork protectors, back when they were DSP. Another guy on my shop team ran the disc guards. They seemed to hold up pretty well to rocks and roost. No issues with crashes, either. I'd say thumbs up.

Installed a Lightspeed skid plate and front disc guard on my 20' KX450: Very happy with the fit, clean lines, and good design. No hangers for the full coverage skid plate and it simply uses two OEM mounting locations. The rotor guard came with an axle insert and then mounts to an OE fork guard location. I'm all about more protection, great looks, and longevity; 30+ hours and Maxima SC1 still makes it look new...

Would assume the same quality and durability on Yamaha's seeing that Star chooses to use their products.

While we’re on this topic and hopefully you don’t mind me jumping in here, any of you all ever use the side panel cover for the yz250f that covers relay? I know light speed makes one.
