So I decided to start riding again after about 10 years, had an old kxf250 in bit’s that had been in a box at the back of the shed for nearly as long, so cleaned it up chucked a load of new parts at it and rebuilt her
I took her out for the day yesterday and now either I’ve got shorter or the bike has grown because I’m really struggling to get on it now and can’t touch the floor with even one foot without leaning the bike quite a lot, now I had already put a Pro circuit Lowering link on the back but wanted to know if anyone had any more ideas how to drop it an inch or two, any way to get the front end down Maybe? Raise the forks in the triple clamps and shave the seat. Thats about all there is you can do. Well i guess you can cut the subframe to lower the back. Trick engineering does this i believe.

You can take it to a suspension tuner and get them to lower the forks and shock. My wife's yz125 has been lowered about 50mm so she can touch.

Downside is that you lose suspension travel but when I ride her bike it still performs pretty well and corners better than my 250

This process is also reversible and is better than riding around on a cut seat

Rising the forks in the clamps will affect the handling drastically getting the forks and shock internally lowered is your best bet or shave the seat
