Kx125 piston help

I have a kx125 2001 and a piston which the previous owner supplied. According to the manual the l3-l4 cylinder bore is 54.000, however the Mitaka piston i have is 54.40. Will this be suitable? Its a recondition barrel pot with number 1939.

You will have to get the cylinder measured.

If the cylinder has had a steel liner fitted and been bored out to 54.50mm it will fit.

So ripped the engine apart and it has been sleeved although i cannot accurately size the bore with verniers, seems all my readings vary from 54.5 to 54.9mm. The piston is. 55 stamped and seems to be damaged, any ideas on the cause? The bore of the cylinder looks not too bad. Would it be best to have it accurately sized and order a piston based on that. Any help would be much appreciated.
