Rebuilding my 02 Mikuni carb and the new kit has this o-ring supplied. Any ideas where it goes as I never took one out my old setup. Any help much appreciated guys.

I never removed this small o-ring. The float valve needle is a tapered rubber, can't see where the oring would go?

I think it goes under the float valve seat.

Well got to the bottom of the oring. Also found my powervalve linkage had come loose and was the reason for the crappy running of bike. Adjusted the idle and air screw now although still smokes. Throttle is crisp though, should this clear. Running synthetic 40.1

You could have a leaky crank seal.
