New to forum. Just bout 1995 ktm 250sx. Pulled cover off stator and some fuel pours out...... Not good! Only thing I see is crank seal. That's obviously where the source of fuel leak. How do I change this seal? Is a case split involved? There is no play in the shaft at all so I'm pretty sure bearings are good. Also milky white oil top end o rings or gasket leak not sure which is in this bike its my first ktm...... Got shafted on this deal. Please help. Bike runs good. Clutch slips but that could be cuz it was way over filled with oil and blowing out vent hose... If anyone can help or answer the question about case split. Or even just chime in on your ktm 250 experience..........thanx ahead

Different engines have different crank seal types. Some can be removed by screwing a super fine thread screw (or two) into it and pull out. Be extra careful as the crank bearing is behind this seal. Others require the cases to be split. Milky white oil is a sign of water pump seal failure. The water pump shaft and bearing probably need replaced too as the shafts will form groves where the seal sits. Judging by the rest of the motor the clutch is probably smoked too if its slipping. But coolant in the oil doesn't help either.
