Ktm clutch engagement

I have a 2019 Ktm 250 Sx 2 stroke I just put a new Hinson clutch in. Before the clutch seemed to engage about halfway when letting out the clutch lever and now it wants to engage right away. Would putting a new clutch in cause that to change? i was under the impression since it’s a hydraulic clutch it’s always gonna have the same engagement point. I did take the slave cylinder off to check for air in the line and that didn’t change anything. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
