When you close the throttle, you are creating a very lean condition causing the backfire. The TPS may not be set correctly. The TPS will call for a much leaner condition when the throttle is closed very quickly as apposed to just rolling the throttle back. The TPS controls the fuel mixture in every rpm range and is the leanest at closed throttle.

You gotta get your sag set correctly. That will stop the backfiring.

Much welcome

Call your dealer then if it's brand new.

The dealer may be able to help.
One question first....
Has the exhaust pipe been off the bike? If so, the seal to the head from the pipe will need to be replaced. If it leaks the exhaust will become very lean and also cause this backfiring.
The dealer should be able to check the TPS as well.

You can leave it. But if you want to get the best performance you can have it adjusted and fixed.

If it's like the 450, just turn up the idle slightly and try that.

The tps setting on the new bikes are slightly different than the old ones.

That's the one Where you gotta stick a potato in the muffler. It stops the back firing instantly.

Tamir, you should ask this question in the moto section. You'll get a lot more responses.
