Hi guys, I recently picked up a 2018 ktm 350 exc. The bike has 3.8 hours on it. I have only ridden it a few times and now it won’t start. I tore into it yesterday in hopes of figuring it out for our ride this weekend to no avail. I’m probably going to take it to the dealer as this is the 3rd problem I’ve had in under 4 hours but I’d prefer just solve the problem myself if possible. Plus the dealer is closed this weekend.
I have checked, rechecked and triple checked every plug/connection. I tested my spark plug, coil and wire on another bike. Those were good and I put that plug, coil and wire on my bike which also had no spark. I disconnected the kill switch and checked my brothers 250 which sparked once trying the start button even with the kill switch on. Should this bike spark from the battery initially when trying to start if the stator was bad?
Any help/input is appreciated.

The Shop
Also checked all the fuses and even swapped that main fuse block set up off my brothers bike with no luck there either.
Check all the grounds around the coil. Make sure there’s no paint and it’s true metal on metal.
I have had to replace the whole wiring harness. The bike wouldn't turn over. It was dead. I unplugged the key switch and could jump it with a wire. A few weeks ago, the bike would crank over. But not start. I couldn't hear the fuel pump crank once I turned the key. Dropped it off at the shop and now the ECU has gone bad. It's been a nightmare. Wondering if I bought a lemon.
Pit Row
I'd buy a vortex to replace that stocker. Your bike will run a million better and just keep your fingers crossed this is the last one.
When I got my bike back. I put heat shrink on all of the connections behind the front number plate.
Thank you for the feedback!
