Looking to see what exhaust and silencer setups people are having the best performance gains with? I have a 2017.

On the dyno, most silencers tested loose power apart from pc shorty with its larger stinger outlet.

We also tested a euro pipe and it lost power also, apart from very peak.

Fstty fmf works well on dyno, a good combo with pc shorty

Ours came with a FMF. Got dented so threw a stocker on with FMF silencer & kid didn't really notice a difference. I just got a big lot of parts from a friend which had a PC setup in it. I decided to throw it on for giggles last weekend. Kid noticed a big difference in overall pull and responsiveness from previous setups. We usually run Bills but all these were free so....

I’m a pro circuit guy and initially was going with that setup. Talked to some people that recommended fmf and I believe fmf and ktm work together. Steering towards pro circuit

I use the pro circuit on my 150. A lot better pull up top and doesn’t need as much shifting anymore. I think the sound is great too, the FMF is a little too loud for my taste but the PC sounds awesome and looks great. I run the works pipe with the R304 silencer.

For my 2016 125sx I had a fmf pipe and silencer combo, felt identical to stock, the pro circuit pipe and r304 was a way more potent combo to the point I had to stiffen my clutch springs because it was causing my clutch to slip at high rpm

Thanks for the input. Going to try the pc shorty today and go from there.

My '18 150 XC-W has an FMF Fatty. When I go back to the stocker, the bike is pipey and has a definite lag, then hit. The FMF gives it an overall smoother, better off-road, powerband.

We have nine months on the 2020 ktm 150sx and have learned a lot about this bike. I know this is a pipe and silencer thread so I will stay on subject. The stock pipe is good enough for all but those willing to trade all round power for unlimited top overrev. The PC shorty is a must have for improved throttle response and low end snap. The power valve is not a pipe but is part of the exhaust system so I will share our findings with it. For the mx racers the red PV spring is the biggest bang for the buck hands down, it cost 0.99 cents. This spring will allow the PV to open fully at a lower rpm giving the rider more power sooner coming out of a turn. The PV drums need to be cleaned and polished on a regular basis to operate consistently. After the mikuni jet block gasket fix this is the second most important mod related to jetting. The ramp and ball system in the governor will overcome the stiction and open the pv but the spring alone is not strong enough to fully close it so now you have a raised exhaust port and lower cylinder compression next time you snap open the throttle causing a bog.

There is also a primary power valve spring out of the 150xcw that helps, the standard sx primary spring is wound with a 2mm wire, and the 150xcw spring is wound with 1.8mm wiring, and this helps get the power valve to start opening sooner, I did this with my 125 sx and it helped roll on and midrange really well
