Why are you considering changing to 125? What don’t you like?

That doesn't make any sense. 150 is much more fun to ride than the 125

More power and bottom end as well. Would take a 150 any day over a 125.

If you bought a 125 kit, cylinder and Ignition- is it easily interchangeable to put back to a 150cc, if you kept the 150cc parts? If so then maybe yes, you could have an interchangeable 150cc and a 125cc- otherwise agree that changing form a 150cc to 125cc is sort of odd.

The Ktm 150 isn’t s true stroked engine like the tm 144 it’s an overbore same as a yz 125 with Athena 144 kit . I have just heard the 125 is more neutral flowing power and the 150 is a shorter harder hitting power. But I think I agree with you guys, I am just going to mod this Ktm 150 sending complete bike to shop have them dyno before and after motor work see how it runs afterwards. Thanks for the replies

Some porting exhaust and carb work should make the 150 sing though.

Ask this, back in the 125 class days would anyone run the 125 if they were allowed to run a 144?

Having both I still prefer the 125.

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

What difference do you feel? I never rode them back to back.

Better yet make it a 250.

I'm sure gearing would change things but I run stick gearing and to me the 150 is great at the smaller track I ride because I'm not shifting as much but I have to shift a lot more on the 150 on the bigger tracks.

My 125 on the other hand is so much more fun on the sandy long tracks we have in FL, It's got enough power to pull you out of a corner without bogging and I can run in each gear a little bit longer.

You nailed it, basically more fun can keep it in a gear longer and sound like a hero lol
