I don't think that would benefit you, 49mm Showa's are VERY good forks.

I only asked because I've had great experience with the KYB SSS forks but not so much with previous Showas. I guess I just need to find a good setting ?

I'd suggest sending them to FC if funds permit. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They've done some good work on Showas for me in the past & have been just as good as the KYB SSS units.

Second a FC Showa revalve. My Showas were incredible after they valved them. Only downside is price. FC is on the high side but I guess you get what you pay for.
