KXF triple clamp for KX125

Hello,

I need some Information about the triple clamp for my Kx125.

Could i use a triple clamp from a KXF 13-xx for my KX125 03. I need to know this because i want to use a kayaba Kit Suspension.

On topic: You will have to to press out the old steering stem from your 03 and press it in the clamps for the kxf450 -13.

In short, triple clamps for a 13+ KXF will bolt right up to your KX 125. However, you will need to either modify the steering stop on the KX125 frame (make it larger) or modify the lower triple clamp, otherwise the forks will hit the frame.

I am not sure. I think all 2003+ KX125 / KX250F / KX250 / KX450F stems are the same.

The issue with these swaps is when one ties to put triple clamps from an aluminum frame bike onto the steel framed KX (KDX, KLX). I think all the Kawasaki aluminum frame bikes have the clamps with the steering stops on the backside, not the front like steel frame bike clamps.

Steering stops are in the same place. As mentioned in the thread, you have to make the steering stop larger on the 25 frame. No need to press stems, I have triples from an aluminum frame Kawi on my bike...just had to cut off the old steering stop, and reweld a larger one.

I just got a shim made, using 09 kx450 forks with stock 125 clamps.
