KTM SX-F to EXC conversion 2015

Hey guys over the last few months I’ve been toying with the idea of swapping my bike out for a EXC but now I’m kind of think all I want for my bike is better gearing. Does any one know if it’s possible to swap the transmission internals from model to model if it’s same year box?? I’ve priced it up and it’s $2k for all parts from shafts to gears, circlips. Can’t find much info anywhere to see if the components would fit at all. I know the EXC holds and extra gear but the gears are narrower then SX-F gears so I’m thinking counter shafts are same length. BUT diameter of shaft could be an issue in casings. I could be pumping a dry well here but any help appreciated!!!

I was in the same boat. Couldn’t get a clear answer. Then I ended up with twins.

When I’m home next from work I’m going straight to my local bike shop to have a chat to the mechanic, this is very helpful/promising
